Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We have answers…
The client portal is where the magic happens. Once you are a client, you’ll use the client portal to send and receive tax documents, chat with your accountant, approve proposals, and sign important documents.
All documents must be sent to your accountant by uploading files to the Client Portal. We do not accept any other method of delivery.
You will receive a PDF copy of your tax return on the Client Portal for your final approval to file.
While the average tax return takes two weeks to prepare and file, a highly complex tax return can take up to 9 months.
Once you complete the contact form, your accountant will reach out to you to hear more about your needs. Then, we schedule your tax interview and set up your Client Portal account. You’ll have some homework to do before your tax interview. First, you’ll need to complete a tax questionnaire and organizer. Second, you’ll be required to submit as many tax documents that you have – most recent tax return, all W-2s, 1099s, etc. We’ll review your documents prior to your tax interview so you can have an in-depth and personal discussion with your accountant. After the tax interview, all you need is patience!

For any income tax return we prepare:

  • 30-Day Money-Back: If you are not satisfied within the first 30 days, we will refund you in full – even if your tax return has already been filed. No questions asked. No nonsense. This is an iron-clad guarantee.
  • 100% Accuracy Guarantee: We hold our work to the highest standard of care and accountability. If a tax return we prepare costs you to pay a tax-related penalty, we will reimburse you for the amount of the penalty paid.
  • 3-Years, Unlimited Amendments: Received a 1099 in the middle of the year? Found out you qualify for a larger refund after you filed? We are here to help. Any tax return we file is eligible for unlimited amendments. This offer is valid for three years from the date your tax return is filed.
  • No Surprise Bills: You will never receive an unexpected bill from us. All amounts are agreed upon up-front with full transparency. In the unlikely event you do receive a surprise bill, simply discard it.

Limitations of the 30-Day Money-Back guarantee:

  1. No refund of service charges is issued for services not paid in full.
  2. Any refund issued will cease all current and future services.
  3. It may take up to 30 days to receive your refund.

Limitations of the 100% Accuracy Guarantee:

  1. Reimbursements are only issued once we receive proof that you paid the penalty.
  2. Reimbursements are issued for penalties only, not interest charged by taxing authorities.
  3. A penalty is only considered to be “caused by the preparer” upon our own internal assessment.
  4. Failure-to-file and Failure-to-pay penalties are not considered to be “caused by the preparer”

Limitations of the 3-Years, Unlimited Amendments guarantee:

  1. There must be a good reason for the amendment. We will not prepare or file any frivolous tax return. We will file amendments that change your refund, taxes owed, or any other tangible purpose.

Limitations of the No Surprise Bills guarantee:

  1. Does not cover bills for services charged at an hourly rate.
At the moment, we can only visit locations within NYC. This option is only available to a select group of clients with highly specific needs.
We partner with a law firm for these services. We do not prepare Offer in Compromises (OIC) but we may establish tax payment plans if the total amount owed isn’t too high.
Services can either be fixed, hourly-rate, or a retainer for hybrid pay structures. Most tax returns and monthly bookkeeping are fixed rates. Tax planning is a hybrid pay structure, meaning there is a retainer which can be used on either flat-fee or hourly-rate services. One-off consultations are $250/hr.
We try to avoid charging by the hour. Sometimes, it’s necessary to charge by the hour. Certain services have flat-fee schedules that cannot be charged an hourly rate.

Our minimum prices are as follows:

  • Monthly Bookkeeping: $350
  • Income Tax Return for Individuals: $367
  • Income Tax Return for Self-Employed (1099): $550
  • Income Tax Return for All Other Businesses: $1,000
  • Form 2848 Power of Attorney: $49
  • Sales Tax Return: $93.75
  • Tax Planning Retainer: $3,000
We do not charge for quick phone calls and general questions. We may charge for certain consultations and advising sessions.
We do not, but we can refer you to one of our partners.
Every tax return is subject to the same pricing schedule. Dependents’ tax returns are not discounted.
